As the certifying body for anesthesiologists since 1938, our team of dedicated anesthesiologist volunteers and staff administer initial and subspecialty certification assessments as well as our continuing certification program, which promotes lifelong learning, a commitment to quality clinical outcomes and patient safety.

Founded in 1931, the American Association of Nurse Anesthesiology (AANA) is a professional association representing more than 59,000 Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) and student registered nurse anesthetists nationwide.

The Texas Society of Anesthesiologists, Inc. is the recognized component society of The American Society of Anesthesiologists.
It is a voluntary, non-profit association of physicians interested in the medical specialty of Anesthesiology. Membership is a privilege, not a right to which any individual is entitled by reason of licensure, certification or whatever, as provided in its Bylaws.
The Society recognizes the principles of Medical Ethics of the American Medical Association and the Statement of Policy of The American Society of Anesthesiologists as the basic guides to the ethical conduct of physicians.
